Key Roles

The Australian Jujitsu Federation (AJF) is recognised by the Australian Government through the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), however does not receive funding and is reliant on the voluntary services of each member of the Board of Directors and State Representatives who give their time to support the administration and management of the AJF.

The varies voluntary roles of these people include:

Board of Directors – liaise with and report to the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) / Sport Australia; review and update policy; plan and coordinate major activities camps competition; provide recommendations to the Annual General Meeting of members; issue annual membership invoices; follow-up late membership fees; respond to external and internal inquiries; develop new membership and process applications; coordinate with insurance; manage International representation; administer the AJF website and facebook; stay abreast of legislative requirements; ensure continued ASC recognition.

State Representatives – With guidance/support from each Regional Director – liaise directly with members within their State; seek out new membership; coordinate State activities seminars, camps, competition; promote and coordinate the arrangement of National Coaching and Officiating Accreditation courses; with Regional Directors follow-up late membership fees.

Executive of Koshinryu Jujutsu Australia (supported by AJF Directors) – develop and maintain the National Coaching Accreditation Program and the National Officiating Accreditation Program; Plus provide representation to the World Council of Ju-Jitsu Organisations (WCJJO).

Members add their support – by providing the financial resources through payment of an annual membership fee and participation in activities of the AJF …
