Trevor Smith states that he specialises and prefers to teach and train in modern Jujitsu methods but is still skilled and very interested in traditional Jujitsu and most other martial arts. His unique style has been developed out of the cross training in multiple martial areas and through his extensive travels to other clubs over many years. After 30 years he still travels and trains in other clubs on a regular bases. He encourages his students to do the same and not restrict themselves. The Bendigo Ryu Jujitsu is both a Traditional Japanese Style and modern MMA club with the focus on Techniques and Skill. Fitness, competition and self-defence are included in the training.
